GDABVI Announces the Addition of Victor Arbulu as Finance & Operations Manager
DETROIT, Mich., April 10, 2006 – Greater Detroit Agency for the Blind and Visually Impaired,
a non-profit organization established in 1961 to develop services and expand community influences
to minimize the effects of blindness and visual impairment, announces the addition of Victor Arbulu
as Finance & Operations Manager. Mr. Arbulu has over 23 years of experience in both the private
and non-profit sectors. He was most recently Finance Manager for Simon House and Co-executive director
and Chief Operation Officer at Detroit NFI. Prior to Detroit NFI, Mr. Arbulu has been a self-employed business consultant.
Mr. Arbulu received a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management in Chicago, IL.
He also received a BA in psychology and sociology from Michigan State University. Victor’s dedication extends outside of work
where he is Treasurer of the Legal Education and Advocacy Center. In addition, he volunteers his time by providing counsel
to start-up and other non-profit agencies.

productivity, and dignity for persons who are blind or visually impaired.
Greater Detroit Agency for the Blind and Visually Impaired serves seven
Southeast Michigan counties including Wayne, Oakland, Monroe, Livingston,
Macomb, St. Clair and Washtenaw. A United Way Agency, Greater Detroit Agency for
the Blind and Visually Impaired is accredited by the National Accreditation
Council for Agencies Serving People with Blindness or Visual Impairment (NAC)
and is certified to meet national standards for quality services, responsible
management and public accountability.
