The Annual Back to School Carnival
has been postponed

Dear Friends of Greater Detroit Agency for the Blind and Visually Impaired:

We have made the decision to postpone the annual Back to School Carnival for children with visual impairments and their families. The carnival was scheduled for Saturday, September 17, 2005.

The carnival has been a free event that links visually impaired students and their families with community groups and resources to provide information, education and mutual awareness and you have played an important part in making this an annual success.

Timing and events occurring in area schools and communities were taken into consideration in making this difficult but necessary decision.

Agency staff is evaluating this signature event to have an even greater impact in meeting the needs of school children with visual impairments. We are contacting our confirmed partners, exhibitors and attendees to inform them of this postponement.

Thank you for your continued support and dedication to Greater Detroit Agency for the Blind and Visually Impaired. We will keep you informed as we proceed.
