Agency for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Here are several key points
underlying the activities of MPVI.
- Parent leadership and development are integral to all aspects of the
organization
- Parent-to-parent connections serve as the major resource for all support,
education, and advocacy
- Ongoing opportunities for parent-to-parent communication and support are
vital for problem solving
- Proactive participation in the development of public policy requires
parent representation and networking
- Parents involved in partnership with professionals carry out the mission
of the program
